1. Type chrome://flags/ in the search bar of Google Chrome to open the flags page. Here you can see tons of things to change and create a havoc in Google Chrome. But, proceed carefully and don’t change any setting on your own.

In a blog post, Google explains the method of prerendering the links that can make your Google Chrome faster. Actually, while browsing, Chrome predicts the links you might click and it prepares them to load instantly for you.
For example: If you are on a web page and there’s a read more or next page link, Google Chrome intuitively prerenders the web page and serves it instantly as you click on it. Also, by enabling this option for increasing the Google Chrome speed, you browser predicts the web pages you might enter in the address bar and shows them as you hit enter. Chrome does this by looking at your browsing habits.
Here’s the way to turn on these network action predictions:
On you PC:
1. Click on the hamburger Chrome menu symbol located at the top right corner of your Chrome browser to open the settings.
2.Go to Settings and then click on Show advanced settings.
3. Now in the privacy section check Prefetch resources to load pages more quickly.
On your Android device:
1. Tap on the Chrome menu and open Settings.
2. Under Advanced, find Privacy and open it.
3. Now look for the option Prefetch page resources.
4. You’ll be greeted with following options, choose the desired one to make your Google Chrome faster:
  • Always: Chrome will always preload webpages even when you’re using mobile data. This way, you may end up using a large chunk of mobile data.
  • Only on Wi-Fi: Chrome will only preload webpages on Wi-Fi network. This is the default option.
  • Never: If you are using a very limited data plan, select this to stop Google Chrome from preloading the web pages.

Method 3: Using speed up extensions to make Google Chrome faster

3. Type chrome://settings/clearBrowserData and clear browsing history from beginning (Uncheck Cached images and files and other below options).

On Amazon Cloud, the second place belongs to Amazon’s very own Amazon Linux Amazon Machine Image (AMI) with 54,000 instances. The third place belongs to Windows with a number of 17,600- followed by CentOS with 8,500 and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) with 5,600 instances.
It should be noted that with 57 percent share, Amazon Web Services (AWS) dominate the public cloud market. This is followed by Azure Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) with 12 percent share. So, being the leading OS at AWS, Ubuntu Linux is undoubtedly the most popular operating system in cloud.
A similar trend is also observed in the latest OpenStack survey. Here, once again Ubuntu Linux dominates the OpenStack clouds. About 53 percent of all the OpenStack clouds are powered by Ubuntu, followed by CentOS with 29 percent.

HIV Virus Does Not Directly Cause AIDS, According to Scientists

o-HIV-AIDS According to a new study by the scientists at the Gladstone Institutes, HIV virus does not directly cause AIDS disease. Instead, the researchers say that your body’s own immune cells are the main culprits.
The researchers from the Gladstone Institute have published their results in the journal Cell Reports earlier this week, and they argue that instead of HIV virus, human body’s immune cells eventually trigger the AIDS disease. It’s a well-known fact that HIV i.e. Human Immunodeficiency Virus is transmitted from person to person via unprotected physical contact and many other ways. Once the virus starts working to weaken body’s immune system, the infected person develops AIDS i.e. Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome. Actually, this happens when the count of the CD4 cells in patient’s body drops below 200 per milliliter of blood. These specialized immune cells must be from 500 to 1,500 for a healthy individual. The new findings suggest that HIV turns into the deadly AIDS via cell-to-cell transmission and HIV virus does not directly cause AIDS disease.The virus infects few cells, and then these cells pass HIV to the healthy cells, which respond by killing themselves. Thus, when enough cells die and the count of CD4 cells drops to a dangerous level, the HIV infection turns into AIDS.
This discovery could change the way HIV is treated, as now researchers think that they have a new method to stop the turning of HIV virus into AIDS by this new understanding of infection.
“Although free-floating viruses establish the initial infection, it is the subsequent cell-to-cell spread of HIV that causes massive CD4 T cell death,” says co-first author Nicole Galloway, PhD, a post-doctoral fellow at the Gladstone Institute of Virology and Immunology. “Cell-to-cell transmission of HIV is absolutely required for activation of the pathogenic HIV cell-death pathway.”

According to the study, as compared to the HIV virus infecting the healthy cells, this infected cells to healthy cell transmission is about 100 to 1,000 times more effective. This number is so much that about 95% of deaths are a result of cell-to-cell transmission.
As mentioned above, the researchers are considering the new ways to stop the progression of HIV virus to AIDS state as the HIV virus does not directly cause AIDS .“By preventing cell-to-cell transmission, we may able to block the death pathway and stop the progression from HIV infection to AIDS,” explains specialist Warner C. Greene.
However, if this works, people would still be HIV virus and able to infect others, but their own immune system won’t be the reason for AIDS and they could live a longer healthy life.

The authoritarian government has left no stone unturned and even opened a brand new airport terminal, laden with all modern facilities. The new North Korean airport terminal has an “internet room”, but the only problem is: The internet room of North Korea doesn’t have any internet.After many trips to the country, reporters of the Associated Press found out that the computers installed in the internet room were unavailable most of the time, and once they were able to secure a system, the internet didn’t work.
The Guardian writes about this weirdly hilarious situation:
On two recent trips through the airport, the room’s three terminals were either occupied by airport employees, making it impossible for others to use them, or were completely empty – with their keyboards removed.
Maybe it was a temporary glitch. It’s hard to say, since airport officials have refused to comment.
The airport officials refused to comment on the ongoing situation. The reporters even checked the browser history and it has nothing to show. Oddly, one computer had just a single visit to the North Korean government’s official website. It seems that someone keeps on erasing the records or the PCs just don’t connect to the internet.

However, even if the reporters were able to find a working internet connection in the Internet room of North Korea, they wouldn’t find much as the internet is highly controlled by the government. It’s a well-known fact that most of the people in North Korea don’t have a personal computer and masses have access to the highly censored websites.
The Internet room of North Korea is a failed and plastered attempt by a country that ranks censorship very high in its priorities. The new low power mode will make your phone run longer by disabling mail fetch, background app refresh, lower visual effects and automatic downloads. The great news is that you can still use almost all useful features of your phone like Wi-Fi, Location Services, Bluetooth, GPS etc. In the new power saver mode, the screen sleeps a little quicker along with other subtle changes to give you extra juice.

The small change in the Shift key will be instantly noticed by you as you’ll start typing something. Now the case of the letters change with the shift key. Earlier, the letters were always capitalized even when the shift key wasn’t enabled and this created a confusion.

15. Security in iOS 9:

Last but not the least, Apple has focused more on security in iOS 9. In the new OS, users will need a six-digit passcode on devices that use Touch ID instead of four digits. The users with two-factor authentication will need to enter the verification code while signing in from a new browser or device. This verification code is automatically generated and sent on you Apple device.

China Launching Hack Proof Quantum Communications Network In 2016

The unhackable quantum communication network will be launched in 2016 and will stretch from Beijing to Shanghai.
After whistle blower Edward Snowden revelations, the entire world was aware of America’s sinister plans to target “network backbones” worldwide. China as its counter is now a step closer to design and use the world’s most secure encryption technology for communication. The “network backbones” are the net grids where a huge amount of data is transferred and if under attack, could pose a serious threat to any nation. China has claimed of putting to use a new “unhackable” quantum network that will stretch from Beijing to Shanghai by 2016.Although the quantum communication technology was first proposed by IBM scientists in the 1980s, the technical limitations like maintaining the qubits’ ever-changing quantum state such as their spin over large distances, rendered the idea to a slumber.
There had been a recent surge in developing Quantum computers but in the wake of the cyber intrusions, China will become the first country to use the encrypted quantum communication network on such a large scale. Reports suggest that by 2030, Chinese super secure network will extend across the globe.
Xinhua, the official press agency for China said the network would specifically be used by the institutions that could be the potential targets like central government, military and critical business institutions like banks. Later, the hack proof quantum communication network will be extended to general use as well.
China has progressed in the quantum technology field due to major funding to its research and development programs. Several other countries like Japan, Canada, EU and even the US are planning to launch quantum communication satellites.

 The Twitter account of Amitabh Bachchan, Bollywood’s biggest superstar, has been hacked and some adult sites have been added as ‘following’.
A tweet from Mr. Bachchan’s official Twitter handler @SrBachhan says: “WHOA !..My Twitter handle hacked ! Sex sites planted as ‘following’ ! Whoever did this, try someone else, buddy, I don’t need this !” According to Mr. Bachchan, hackers added some sex sites in his “following” list. This means that some person other than him accessed Bollywood superstar’s account and added these adult websites.It should be noted that Mr. Bachhan has the highest number of Twitter followers in India, followed by actor Shah Rukh Khan, Indian PM Narendra Modi and superstar Salman Khan.
However, it isn’t always necessary for an account to be hacked into if it has some random followers. It could also happen due to the apps that have access to the Twitter accounts.
We scanned his current list of 984 followers and currently Mr. Bachchan has unfollowed those adult sites.

8-Year-Old Develops 3D Printed Smartwatch For Kids, Will Be Available On Crowdfunding Soon

With numerous maker startups popping up around the world, it is becoming more and more obvious that 3D printers and basic programming need to be integrated into schools to prepare children for their future. It’s therefore very nice to see that children are already picking up making themselves and bringing their visions to life at very young ages.
There is no better example than that of Omkar Govil-Nair, an eight-year-old aspiring programmer and maker, who has already developed his very own 3D printed O Watch smartwatch and has been showing off his watch at his local San Francisco Bay Area Maker Faire this week. He also has plans to make it available everywhere through a crowdfunding
campaign

Like most eight-year-olds, he will be starting fourth grade this year and loves Star Wars, James Bond and Badminton. But unlike most, he also loves working with Arduinos and 3D printing. ‘I got interested in electronics and programming 3 years back when I attended my 2nd Maker Faire. I was inspired by Quin Etnyre then the 12 year old CEO of Qtechknow. Since then I wanted to make my own product,’ he explains about his fascination.
Omkar used the Arduino Zero platform – a 32 bit board based on ARM SoC architecture to design a funky looking smartwatch. Building on that with the the full color OLED screen , you can run apps and games. With the sensor module you can add a humidity gauge, get a temperature reading or even use the watch as a compass when you are lost.
These are all examples of what can be done with the watch. However, Omkar wants his peers to design their own apps and features while learning how to programme in the Arduino IDE.– pretty much anything that is possible using a regular Arduino board and a color screen.
“Since it is a fully Arduino-compatible product in a tiny package, you can do a lot more – pretty much anything that is possible using a regular Arduino board and a colour screen,” said the youngster. “You will also learn how to do 3D design.”
The ultimate aim of the O Watch is to attract children into the maker space and boost them to begin using the tools available to them at an early age. The watch is impressive, not because it’s made by an 8 year old but because its an impressive, high quality build that will appeal to children.
The O Watch will be debuting on a crowdfunding site later this month to make the idea a reality for kids around the world. There will be two options available which are given below:
  • Base Watch Kit: Arduino Zero-based programmer board with integrated color OLED screen, LiPo batter, 3D printed watch case, paracord strap
  • Smartwatch Kit: All of the above, as well as a sensor board with an integrated 3-axis compass and temperature, barometric pressure, and humidity sensors
Omkar will also be displaying his watch next month at the NYC Maker Faire on the 26th and 27th of September.

Meet the Immortus, the world’s first solar-powered exotic sports car

Besides being operated as a normal eco-friendly electric vehicle it would also be provided with solar panels on the roof which will use the Sun’s rays and provide additional power to the car while it is being driven.
Meet “Immortus”, the world’s first solar powered, impressive, eco-friendly car that is being built by an Australian start-up.
Australian electric vehicle start-up EVX, along with the researchers at Swinburne University of technology, Melbourne are working together to build the innovative Immortus which has a design that was inspired by the post-Apocalyptic movies such as Mad Max.
Swinburne institution has considerable expertise not only in solar energy research but also in electric vehicle technology and hence the young start-up firm is working in collaboration with this institution.
Basically, Immortus car is a normal electric vehicle that requires to be plugged in into your wall socket and charged, thus making it eco-friendly.
Then, what makes it different? Well, the car would be provided with voluminous ‘solar panels’ on its roof which will use the Sun’s rays and provide additional power to the car while it is being driven. It is this additional power which will help the car to stay on the road for a considerably longer time and the company boasts that the solar panels would give a‘never ending staying power’ to the car.
EVX’s statement on its official website says: “The ability to run on the power of the sun and store the energy for later use make it a car of practically infinite endurance. As long as the sun shines the Immortus lives…”
For now, this seems to be just marketing gimmicks by EVX.
During a press release, Barry Nguyen, co-founder as well as CEO of EVX said: “Without government funding so far, we have made significant progress in our R&D and getting closer to turn our ambitious vision into a reality. With the strong leadership of Dr Clint Steele, we have succeeded in keeping our approach lean through working with final year engineering students and new graduate engineers.”
EVX claims that the sports car would be able to reach 100 km/h in just 7 seconds and it has been provided with a combined battery and solar range of over 550 km at an average rate of 85 km/h.

It further also claims that Immortus can run at an unlimited range even at speeds over 60 km/h and the company even boasts that the car delivers “the complete independence that comes from never [needing]to refuel”. In other words, EVX aims to give their customers total independence so that they need not stop the cars at any charging stations.
However, this is all theoretical because Immortus is yet in its conceptual stage and it does not exist in reality.
The creators of this exotic car are giving their best make this technology a reality and they have plans to display its prototype at SEMA 2015 which is an auto show dedicated to specialty equipment that will be held at at the Las Vegas Convention Centre in November.
While speaking to Ben Schiller at Fast Company, Nguyen told: “We’re not trying to be a Tesla because that would require a lot of money just to get the car onto the road. Because the car will be very expensive to make, we make the car into a technology platform, using technologies that make up a solar car.”

Morgan Culbertson, a former student at the cybersecurity company FireEye, pleaded guilty Tuesday in federal court to designing a malicious software tool that gives hackers the ability to remotely control the functions of Android phones and also charged with conspiring to send malicious code. Dendroid was a software toolkit used to create trojanised applications that infects Android-based smartphones. The malware is created by modifying the required permissions by any clean APK (Android Application Package) with Dendroid RAT functionality that allows detailed management of the infected devices. The virus allows hackers to place phone calls, intercept text messages coming in or going out, open applications, and delete call logs. Due to the intricacies of Dendroid, its users are able to sneak infected applications into the Google Play store.
According to a Darkode post by “Android” in October 2013, the virus took “1.3 years to fully develop.” At the time of the creation of the malware, Culbertson was about 17 years old. He is a graduate of the private Winchester Thurston School, in Shadyside.
Though “Dendroid” was advertised on Darkode in October 2013, the virus drew concern from the security community until March 2014, when American tech company Symantec discovered the malware.
By late March, Dendroid had targeted Android users in India, warranting a security advisory from CERT-In, the Computer Emergency Response Team of India.
As quoted by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Culbertson said in Pennsylvania federal court “I am sorry to the individuals to whom my software may have compromised their privacy. I committed the crime.”
At 20 years old, Culbertson is one of the youngest individuals being investigated. He listed Dendroid for $300 on Darkode, from where the members of the Lizard Squad hacking collective and other nefarious customers were able to purchase Dendroid before the site was shut down. He also offered to sell the source code for Dendroid for more money, to allow buyers to create their own customized version of the malware.
Culbertson faces a $250,000 fine and a maximum of 10 years in prison.

“Effective today, Noel Biderman, in mutual agreement with the company, is stepping down as Chief Executive Officer of Avid Life Media Inc (ALM) and is no longer with the company,” said an unattributed statement on the Ashley Madison website. “Until the appointment of a new CEO, the company will be led by the existing senior management team.”

In July details of more than 37 m accounts were stolen from the website, whose tagline is: “Life is short. Have an affair.” The company is now being sued for emotional stress and Canadian police are investigating links between the hack and two suicides.
The company said that Biderman’s resignation was “in the best interest of the company and allows us to continue to provide support to our members and dedicated employees” and that it remained “steadfast in our commitment to our customer base”
“We are actively adjusting to the attack on our business and members’ privacy by criminals,” the company wrote, saying that it would remain in business. Biderman has been notable by his silence over the course of the scandal, with police and security researcher Brian Krebs communicating much of the available information.
The third and latest data dump,after the first two major ones, posted at the site that first released the user database, appears to be a download of emails from Biderman’s personal Gmail account. The second torrent – released by an entity calling itself the Impact Team – contained emails that seemed to be from Biderman’s work account and its release had already done damage to his personal reputation: the executive told the New York Daily News in 2014 that he had never cheated on his wife, but the hacked documents suggested otherwise.

Facebook Buys Security Solutions Provider PrivateCore

In the past we have seen that Facebook is very much concerned about better protection of its own servers and customers and is even more worried about the same in the wake of what security researchers have called one of the biggest security breaches in the history of the Internet. A group of Russian hackers reportedly stole more than 1.2 billion passwords, according to the firm that conducted the 18-month long investigation that uncovered the breach.

To tighten its security they recently bought a Palo Alto-based secure server technology company PrivateCore this morning. Terms of deal were enclosed but some news agencies reported that a funding of $2.2 millions raised by the company.
Facebook’s Chief Security Officer, Joe Sullivan told more that the value of a company like PrivateCore to Facebook, as part of the company’s focus on increased security. Facebook has been ramping up its rollout of HTTPS encryption by default, and is also working to secure all its data centers with additional protections.
Sullivan told, “Their vCage technology protects servers from persistent malware, unauthorized physical access, and malicious hardware devices, making it safer to run any application in outsourced, hosted or cloud environments.” He added, “I believe that PrivateCore’s technology and expertise will help support Facebook’s mission to help make the world more open and connected, in a secure and trusted way.”
“Working together with Facebook, there is a huge opportunity to pursue our joint vision at scale with incredible impact,” said PrivateCore CEO Oded Horovitz in a press release.
